Heat Pumps

Heat pumps are the next step in evolution for hot water technology.

These systems effectively allow for solar without the panels, resulting in hyper-efficient, green systems, that can save your household a substantial amount of money.

With a traditional gas or electric hot water system, heating water for your home will regularly make up as much as 30% of your energy bill. A heat pump can reduce that number significantly. This efficient system generates hot water for your home all year round, regardless of the weather thanks to its included booster technology. Not only does it save you money, but a heat pump system is much better for the environment than a traditional system, allowing you to save both the environment and your wallet.

Heat pumps accomplish this by utilising refrigerant technology. They cycle a substance known as refrigerant through a series of heat exchanger coils, which are powered by a compressor. First, the system evaporates the refrigerant and absorbs heat from the environment. The heat pump then cycles these gases into the second heat exchanger coil, where they are compressed to very high pressure, further increasing the heat of the gases, before they are run in a cycle around the water tank, transferring the heat energy to the water, before eventually being sent back to the first coil to repeat the cycle again.

If you’re interested in a heat pump for your home, there’s no better option than the revolutionary iStore air-to-energy system. These units are available in 270 L and 180 L models and offer some of the greatest efficiency levels on the market today.
